City planner reintroduced; planning staff member to leave in January

Planning staff reintroduced John Farrell as the city’s new planner and confirmed that Emma Hall and Alexis Kaiser remain on the team. Kendra told commissioners they would see Farrell more frequently in upcoming meetings.
Staff also noted that Jordan is interning with the City of Goose Creek this semester. Alexis Kaiser announced she accepted a position in the Midlands and said, ‘‘I my last day of the city is January 30,’’ thanking colleagues and reflecting on her nearly four years with the city. Kendra thanked Kaiser for her work on zoning-code updates and projects and expressed appreciation for the staff’s completion of required trainings the previous year.
The commission acknowledged the announcements and wished departing staff well; staff said operational continuity is expected while personnel changes are completed.
