Board reiterates hybrid hearing rules, recording and public-comment procedures

At the start of the hearing the coordinator explained Zoom etiquette, recording, exhibitor rules and that public comment will be allowed at the end of the agenda; no members of the public offered general comment and the meeting adjourned.
Before cases began the meeting coordinator explained remote-participation rules: attendees should remain muted until called, use the raise-hand function, state their name each time they speak for the record, and use chat only for technical issues. The coordinator also announced the hearing was being recorded for audio and video and that anyone who testifies or submitted written correspondence will be considered a party of interest.
The board opened a public-comment period at the end of the agenda under Calvert County ordinance 51-21; no members of the public came forward to speak and the board adjourned. The coordinator read and marked written exhibits for cases into the record during the meeting and reminded attendees that chat comments are not part of the official record.
