Council approves Coopers Landing rezone with two-year reversion condition

The City Council approved Ordinance 2025-13 to rezone the Coopers Landing parcel at approximately 6525 S 475 E from Agricultural (A) to Residential Moderate Density (R‑M). The rezoning would allow for the potential development of roughly six dwelling units on the 2.2-acre site, although the property configuration and access constraints may reduce that number.
Applicant Shane Turner confirmed he and City Engineer Brandon Jones met with the Utah Department of Transportation and that "there will be no access from the property to 475 East." Councilman Wayne Winsor moved to approve the ordinance; Councilman Joel Dills seconded and the council approved the measure by roll call vote.
