Commissioner Rushton moved to approve the site plan amendment and the motion carried.
Staff and the applicant discussed mechanical screening on the roof, brick retention, and the limits of applying new standards to an existing CMU building. Applicant Scott Irvine said the project is nonstructural and focused on façade treatment; "The brick on the Petersons would remain," he said, while other brick elements might be painted to better integrate the façade palette. Staff recommended allowing certain landscape approvals to proceed administratively so minor landscaping updates do not require a return to the commission.
