Staff says draft for Creek Central Trail Segment 3 due this week; Duck Creek study faces bridge and utility challenges

Mark Eller updated the board on trail planning and submittals for several projects.
Eller said the consultant "promised me that this Friday, I will have a draft proposal" for Creek Central Trail Segment 3 (Jupiter BeltLine down to Buckingham). He said staff will submit the draft for city review and to Dallas County and warned the Duck Creek feasibility work will be challenging because of required bridge work and utility conflicts; multiple inspectors and multi-agency coordination were highlighted.
Board members asked about timelines and alignment; staff said some projects may need rebidding and that review periods for submittals (for example, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Dallas Water Utilities) could take four to six months. Staff will share consultant drafts and continue coordination with county and state reviewers.
