Mayor Gregory Abid announced that Alexis Kaiser has accepted a position as an assistant city manager in another municipality and that Jan. 13 was her last council meeting.
The mayor described Kaiser as instrumental in multiple projects — including the new fire station and the Creek Collective — and said she had served in roles such as Special Projects Manager and annexation coordinator. "She has been an instrumental contributor in our planning department, and an instrumental contributor to our zoning rewrite," the mayor said, and he thanked her for her service to the city.
No replacement was announced at the meeting; the mayor said the city will seek to fill the position and noted Kaiser would remain with the city for a couple more weeks.
