Patterson described a neighbor’s yard packed with cars and at least one recent episode when cars were being moved into a yard with a tow truck: "there's like 12 cars back there," he said, and reported he contacted code enforcement, which told him an enforcement officer "would have to issue a citation but he has to find the owner." Patterson said multiple families living in one house and short‑term rentals have worsened on‑street parking in his neighborhood.
Mayor noted staff had been assigned to follow up and said the issue would continue to be worked. The matter was not acted on at the meeting; Patterson asked whether code enforcement could locate owners and issue citations within 30 days.
