The board voted July 15 to reject the taxpayer’s position in a 2026 motor-vehicle appeal brought by Brittany Fields and to forward the appeal to the Board of Equalization. Member Gary Griswell moved to reject the taxpayer’s position and make no change in valuation; Vice-Chairman Ben Amerson seconded. The recorded vote was in favor by Chairman Johnny McBurrows, Vice-Chairman Ben Amerson, Members Gary Spinks, Lydia Rollins and Gary Griswell.
Commercial Manager Diane Fields presented the motor-vehicle appeal record to the board. The minutes state the board rejected the taxpayer’s arguments at the assessor level and referred the case to the Board of Equalization for further review.
