Commission tables adoption of 2026–2035 Capital Improvement Plan for one week
Summary
After reviewing a proposed 10-year CIP totaling $134,571,014, the commission agreed to delay adoption for one week at Commissioner Darren Jackson's request so members could complete additional review.
Assistant Administrator and Finance Director Ryan Adkison presented the proposed 2026—635 Capital Improvement Plan with projected total expenditures of $134,571,014 and said funding would come primarily from operational transfers. Adkison noted equipment and bridges are top categories and that road project expenditures will decrease as more work is done in-house.
Commissioner Darren Jackson asked for additional time to review the material before adoption. Commissioner Jeff Masterson moved to table approval of the proposed CIP for one week to allow commissioners more time to review supporting materials; Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded and the motion carried 4-0.
The CIP review will return to the board the following week for potential adoption or further discussion.
