The committee authorized the acceptance of a New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services grant to enhance Pre‑Trial Release Program Services in a minimum amount of $100,000 (effective April 1, 2025–March 31, 2026; MUNIS #3492). The minutes state these funds may continue to be used until the award is fully exhausted.
The committee also authorized the District Attorney to apply for and accept a Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant in a minimum amount of $61,547.26, effective Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026 (MUNIS #__3538_). In addition, the DA’s office received a 2025 appropriation of $6,038.91 to cover shortfalls for summer interns resulting from raises/salary changes. Motions carried 7–0.
