Committee approves ambulance billing change, procurement cards; no action taken on proposed EMS garage lease increase

The Public Safety Committee recorded discussion on the Arcade EMS lease (Deputy Village Mayor A. Koerner spoke on behalf of the Village of Arcade) and approved a change order to increase the Professional Ambulance Billing, LLC contract by $600 for a total not to exceed $238,706.22 for the contract term Jan. 1, 2023–Dec. 31, 2025 (MUNIS Change Order #1481). Motion by Becker carried 7–0.
An amended contract proposal to increase Sheldon Fire Company’s EMS garage lease from $600 per month to $800 per month (effective Jan. 6–July 15, 2026) was presented but County Administrator Schrader recommended leaving the agreement as is through the current term; no action was taken on that lease increase during the meeting.
The committee approved procurement cards with $500 credit limits for five EMS staff (Paramedic Tim Benstead; Paramedic Abigail Molik; AEMT Sheila Heinrich; EMT Jason Voit; EMT Danielle Laskowski) to be used temporarily until a diesel tank can be installed on the west side of the county. Motion by Berwanger passed 7–0.
