Electoral Board elects new leadership, sets monthly meeting schedule

At its Jan. 8 meeting the Shenandoah County Electoral Board elected Denise Doyle chair, Beverly Harrison vice chair and Gayle Wellard secretary, approved Dec. 8 minutes and set regular meetings for the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
The Shenandoah County Electoral Board voted new officers at its Jan. 8 meeting. Duly nominated and elected were Denise Doyle as chair, Beverly Harrison as vice chair and Gayle Wellard as secretary; the election was held in accordance with Code of Virginia §24.2-107. The meeting opened at 9:32 a.m. and adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
Earlier in the session Secretary Denise Doyle moved to approve the minutes of Dec. 8, 2025; the motion was seconded by Chair Gayle Wellard and carried unanimously. The board also established a regular meeting schedule: the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m., unless changed with appropriate notice. The next scheduled meeting is Feb. 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
