Commissioners approve Kansas Department of Corrections FY2027 adult and juvenile grant applications

Gail Antenen, director of 24th Judicial District Community Corrections, reviewed outcomes from FY2025 and goals for FY2027 before asking the board to approve the Kansas Department of Corrections FY2027 Adult and Juvenile Comprehensive Plan Grant Applications.
Antenen reported a FY2025 adult program success rate of 52% and noted 19 clients were unsuccessful. Commissioners moved and seconded motions to approve each FY2027 application; both motions passed unanimously. The approvals authorize submission of the grant applications and continued participation in KDOC-funded community corrections programming pending award and any contract terms.
