Board rescinds previously approved ambulance step increases after administrative error

The Washington County Board of Supervisors voted on July 21 to rescind a motion it had approved on July 14 that had granted scheduled step increases for Ambulance Services staff. Chairperson Jack Seward, Jr. spoke on behalf of Ambulance Director Jordan Wright and said the prior approval “was brought to the Board in error” and that any increases “will be handled individually at their appropriate times.”
On the motion to rescind, the Board did not adopt alternative increases and left any future personnel actions to be considered on an individual basis at the appropriate time. Seward appointed a smaller group to address EMS Advisory Council matters separately; the rescission was recorded in the meeting minutes.
