Commissioners approve treasurer's quarterly report; ARPA account number reassigned to sheriff forfeiture

Pawnee County commissioners voted 3-0 on Feb. 23 to accept the Quarterly Report of the Treasurer for the quarter ending Jan. 31, 2026. The vote followed presentation of the month-end financials and a review of payroll and payable vouchers by Clerk Rein.
Treasurer Tami Keenan told the board that "the Previous ARPA fund number will now be used for the Sheriff's Department Forfeiture and Seizure monies," a change discussed as part of the quarterly report. Commissioners also reviewed interest earned on ARPA funds as part of the monthly financial statements. Commissioner Burdett moved to approve the report; Commissioner Miller seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The approval formalizes the county's quarterly accounting and allows staff to proceed with routine financial operations and any receipting tied to the repurposed ARPA fund number. No additional appropriations were recorded in the minutes for this item.
