Attorney flags social media training; county signs small agreement for assigned-counsel social work support

County Attorney J. Wilkinson asked that social media training for the Board of Supervisors be referred to the Committee of the Whole; staff recorded that the last training was provided Nov. 12, 2024 and town-historian training is scheduled Feb. 23, 2026. Separately, the committee noted an FYI agreement with the Erie County Assigned Counsel Program to provide social work services to assigned counsel attorneys and their clients in an amount not to exceed $2,999, renewable on a case-by-case basis.
Both items were recorded as informational; the assigned-counsel agreement was noted as an FYI contract with MUNIS contract pending and did not require a committee vote at this meeting.
