The Human Resource Committee approved the Wyoming County 250th anniversary logo and directed the County Historian to promote it to town historians and local historical societies. The motion to approve the logo carried (Ayes:6; Absent: Becker), and staff recorded an invitation for towns to forward celebration ideas to County Historian K. Proper.
During discussion Supervisor Leuer, representing the Town of Middlebury, said the town had set aside funding for musicians and suggested a patriotic theme. Leuer also asked whether the county could consider funding enhancements to local fireworks displays. The committee also noted a letter from New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation concerning the Arcade, NY Downtown Commercial Historic District with comments due March 11, 2026.
