City Administrator Matt Wolf explained the Housing Authority needs formal municipal documentation to reactivate its System for Award Management (SAM) account, which is required to receive HUD and Rural Development subsidy funds. Wolf said the city could not locate original incorporation paperwork from 1978 and that the Housing Authority’s SAM account had become inactive following a management change.
The proposed Resolution 39-26 would reaffirm the Housing Authority’s incorporation in 1978 and its continued legal existence and official office address. Wolf said the Housing Authority manages housing for seniors and disabled persons subject to income restrictions and receives subsidies based on income levels. The council approved Resolution 39-26 without a negative voice vote.
