The Old Westbury Board of Zoning Appeals on July 13 continued an application from Margarita Moshe to maintain existing accessory structures at 51 Wheatley Road.
Moshe asked to retain an existing cabana, greenhouse and two pergolas and requested relief from the village code for volume and for an accessory structure located closer to the street than the primary dwelling. The application states the allowable volume is 162,658 cubic feet and the existing/proposed total is 183,686 cubic feet (a requested variance of 21,028 cu ft). The application also notes the greenhouse sits 171 feet from the street where 204 feet is required, producing a 33‑foot variance. On motion by Member Adam Altman, seconded by Member Jennifer Vartanov, the Board voted to continue the matter for a reserved decision; no final vote or conditions were recorded in the public minutes.
The Board did not indicate further public comment or conditions at the meeting; a written decision will be issued later.
