Multiple council members said they wanted written comparisons of the three bids and recommended bringing Nathan (finance adviser) and Bill (township representative) into a follow-up meeting to secure long-term cost-sharing commitments. No final purchase decision or binding financing commitment was approved at this meeting.
The board asked for more documentation: three comparable bids, warranty and maintenance terms, and clearer breakdowns of how much would be covered by general fund, CCD and TIF sources before any vote. Presenter also described training, insurance and operational considerations for integrating a new apparatus into the existing fleet.
