She addressed a spike in flagged BCIs (background checks) tied to driving‑related charges and said rule and policy updates are underway; until those changes are finalized, staff must review some charges that had previously not required review. Daphne also said DLBC has recently hired two new team members who have begun training and will be assigned caseloads to help with renewals and backlog reduction.
The division said it will send information about an in‑person DACS training (March/April) and will provide updated guidance documents when available.
