Principal Planner Niall Connolly told the Springdale Historic Preservation Commission on March 5 that the Pioneer Cemetery memorial has been ordered and the stones have been cut.
"The Pioneer Cemetery Memorial has been ordered, and it should be installed within the next week or two from the date of the meeting," Connolly said. He added that a plaque with a map and a plaque acknowledging Rocky Mountain Power’s grant would be completed in the weeks following the meeting.
The update indicates staff will schedule installation and that the commission can expect follow-up when plaques are finished. The memorial and plaques are intended to mark and interpret gravesites at the Pioneer Cemetery; staff did not record a budget figure or a specific installation date at the meeting.
