Council reviews early allocation request for $1.525M streets line, pulls several consent items for individual consideration

During the consent-agenda review, Councilmember Shotwell asked whether the $1.525 million streets line is the same as the $1.5 million entry in the FY27 CIP. A city staff member answered that it is the same submission and said it had been intended for the FY27 CIP but vendors under city contract are available now, so staff asked council permission to allocate funds early as a cash-funded project and remove it from the FY27 submission if approved.
Shotwell then requested that items 13, 18 and 25 be pulled for individual consideration. The mayor acknowledged the request and asked the deputy mayor Pro Tem to manage individual consideration. The mayor also announced that Councilmember Clinson will recuse herself when item 30 is considered.
Staff clarified that the exhibit B cash-funded line is flexible and Exhibit A must be finalized for the authorization being approved; council discussion continued and staff offered to provide further details to members who asked for clarification.
