The Sweetwater County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution 26‑06‑CL‑01 on June 2, 2026, transferring $7,200 within the human resources budget from training to personnel to cover a late employee benefits enrollment. Accounting specialist Rebecca Romero told the board the transfer is covered by the department’s current allocation and won’t affect general fund reserves.
"This budget amendment is for the human resources department," Romero said, explaining that the increase reflects an employee who enrolled later in the budget year and that the transfer would be covered by current allocations. Chair called for public comment and, hearing none, the board moved to a vote. Commissioner Jones moved to approve and the motion passed unanimously after a second. The resolution was approved as presented and the chairman was authorized to sign.
