Council approves alcohol consents for Zion Chalk festival and local restaurant

The Town Council on March 11 approved multiple alcohol-related items tied to the upcoming Zion Chalk and Earth Festival and a restaurant license application.
Town Recorder Robin Romero presented a request allowing sale and service of alcohol on the Town Field for the Zion Chalk and Earth Festival (April 18–19). Council approved the request subject to compliance with Springdale Town Code Section 7-6-13(E), execution of an indemnity agreement, obtaining a large outdoor event permit, receiving required state alcohol permits, and an approved security plan.
The council also granted single-event local consent to Zion Canyon Brew Pub to serve alcohol at the festival and approved local consent for Wildcat Willies (dba Porter's Restaurant) for a Restaurant Full Service Alcohol License at 897 Zion Park Boulevard. Council members unanimously approved each action and directed the mayor to sign the necessary local-consent documents.
