At the meeting consultant Stan Kimmer said he submitted a written bid for initial work through March that includes four hours of the general consulting allocation, training materials and travel. "I submitted a bid ... and it totals up to $5,750," Kimmer said, adding that travel is "not to exceed $1,000."
Commissioners pressed for clearer accounting. One commissioner asked for a simple recurring progress tracker that would show budgeted amounts, amounts spent and remaining balances by category so the group can report accurately to city council. Staff and commissioners volunteered to prototype a shared spreadsheet and to return with an updated accounting at the next meeting. Separately the commission identified a $1,500 line for banners, posters and giveaways that could support early outreach and working-group meetings.
