Grand Prairie organizers said the city will host large, public watch parties at Epic Central during the FIFA World Cup, citing both community programming and the potential economic boost from thousands of visitors. "Grand Prairie welcomes the world," said Sarah Dudelic, introduced on the show as the city's tourism lead, discussing the June 11–July 19 tournament and local preparations.
Zane King, speaking for Epic Central, said the site will show a full slate of matches on a new LED wall and multiple viewing areas and that many screenings will be free. "We're gonna be showing every game at Epic Central," King said. Organizers encouraged residents to check epiccentral.com and visitgrandprairietx.com for the full watch‑party schedule and vendor information. They also said a June 12 kickoff program — with the mayor and city council expected to appear around 7:30 p.m. ahead of the 8:00 p.m. match — will mark the start of in‑person festivities.
