Jill Malone, the owner of 1605 Acacia Street, addressed the board and said she had not received notice of prior proceedings and was surprised by statements from the banks attorney and staff. Malone gave her address for the record as 1605 Acacia Street, Grand Prairie, and said she had been working with a contractor who had communicated with city staff about needed repairs.
"This is very shocking right at the moment," Malone said when shown the engineering report and bank counsels comments. She told the board she had expected to be present for the June meeting and that her last communications with an attorney named Brackett had suggested moving forward with a repair plan. The board thanked her for attending and noted they would make a decision that night.
