County Engineer Paul Geilenfeldt presented and the Board approved Supplemental Agreement No. 01 with Snyder & Associates for additional design services related to the US 30, Binford Avenue, and 245th Street improvement project; Geilenfeldt said the supplemental work covers design modifications and the project remains on schedule for an October letting with a potential early start of April 1, 2027.
The Board also approved the Federal-Aid Agreement for County Highway Bridge Program Project BROS-C064(152)-8J-64 for replacement of Bridge D-11 on 120th Street over Minerva Creek to secure federal funding for the replacement. In a public update, Geilenfeldt reported a culvert failure on 280th Street (E63) and that the County elected to purchase a polymer-coated metal pipe with an anticipated 100-year service life; installation was expected the following week with temporary rock surfacing followed by a hot-mix asphalt patch.
