The Marshall County Board of Supervisors on July 15 adopted Resolution No. 2026-0026 approving an amended Chapter 28E intergovernmental cooperation agreement between Marshall County and the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center (CIJDC). Assistant County Attorney Kiyoko Kieffer told the Board the updates are administrative and clarify member-county participation and organizational changes since the original filing in 2012.
Supervisor Carol Hibbs said the amendment mainly updates organizational structure and participation of original member counties. The resolution passed 3-0; the fully executed amended agreement will be filed with the Iowa Secretary of State as required by Iowa Code Section 28E.8.
