The board received a sanitarian and environmental update at the Sept. 11 meeting. Staff reported workload items, an annual DATCP survey due at the end of September, and that agent reimbursement of $8,275.50 had been submitted to DATCP. The minutes list eight open environmental cases.
Vernon County plans a joint water testing event with Crawford County on Nov. 4, 2024; staff also continue to work with county zoning on flood-plain evacuation planning. The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) sent a draft revision for ATCP 72 (Hotels, Motels and TRH), which the sanitarian update noted for awareness but did not put to a formal vote at the meeting.
