Treasurer reports three county land sales; committee lowers minimum bids for four unsold parcels

County Treasurer Nikki Tolzman briefed the Administration Committee on the February treasurer’s report and recent land-sale activity. Tolzman reported parcel 002-4414001 (Norway Woods Lane, Abrams) sold for $13,100.00; parcel 03446911077 (4230 Topel Road, Oconto) sold for $81,000.00; and parcel 231-0422321647 (110 South Richmond Ave, Gillett) sold for $35,500.00. Those three sales were presented as information only.
Tolzman also said there are four parcels that previously failed to sell and that her authority covers only three bid cycles; the committee instructed staff to set fourth-attempt minimum bids at 50% of the prior minimums. Motion by John Matravers and Carol Heise to adopt the reduced minimum bids carried. The revised minimums include parcels 029-7711003103A, 029-7711006104, and 029-7711008 (from $3,500 to $1,750); parcel 044-3925033 (from $29,000 to $14,500); parcel 231-0422116468 (from $3,250 to $1,625); and parcel 265-1520018698 (from $2,250 to $1,125).
