The Douglas County Land & Water Conservation Committee approved a calculated hourly billable rate of $42.30 for "Farmers, Ranchers, and Other Agricultural Managers." The rate was calculated from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook figure of $87,980 and approved in a motion by Terry White, seconded by Wendy Bong.
The committee also approved using the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance Manual Chapter 2 as the basis for standard and non-standard equipment rates used in the county's cost-share billing. Separately, after reviewing trencher quotes, the committee set a trencher billable rate of $330 per day. All motions carried during the meeting.
