Sweetwater County planning staff asked the commission to renew a conditional‑use permit for Precious Pets LLC, an animal crematorium operating in Farson since 2010. County planner Cassidy Brown described the site's agricultural zoning, existing infrastructure (private well and septic) and an air‑quality permit from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality that staff said was issued indefinitely because emissions were negligible.
"We've not received any formal complaints regarding the operation of this business," Brown said, and noted the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval 5‑0 on March 11. One comment form from a nearby resident, Jake Berg, was on file in favor. The board opened the public hearing; no one spoke. Commissioners moved and approved the permit renewal unanimously. The conditional use will remain valid indefinitely so long as Precious Pets LLC continues to operate under the current applicants.
