Chair's appointments approved; board accepts Log Lake parcel and small community contracts

The board also voted to accept transfer of Parcel #008-450-007-00 from Kalkaska Township (a Log Lake lot) and authorized the county administrator to complete transfer documents (including survey and title work) with county-paid costs. All motions passed unanimously. "Motion by Sieting to accept the Chairs appointments as stated. Supported by Comai. 7 yeas. 0 nays. Carried," the minutes state.
The minutes record discussion about County Wide Improvement (CWI) funds and intent to use some funds for generators; a separate CWI meeting was scheduled for Feb. 17, 2026 to review funds and projects.
