The Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved post-approved bills of $1,359,984.34, General Fund bills of $360,256.30, Payroll #25 of $243,186.22 and Payroll #26 of $219,711.67 at its Jan. 21, 2026 meeting. Commissioner Jeff Sieting moved the bills package; the roll-call vote was 7-0 in favor.
The board also approved several sets of meeting minutes and accepted an amended agenda that added three items to item #12 and scheduled a 6:00 PM closed session later in the meeting. The approvals clear county obligations and permit staff to proceed with payments and routine administrative follow-up. "Motion by Sieting to approve Post Approved Bills of $1,359,984.34; General Fund Bills of $360,256.30; Payroll #25 of $243,186.22; Payroll #26 of $219,711.67; and Commissioners PerDiem of $500.00 and Salary of $3,340.00, totaling $3,840.00," the minutes record.
Next procedural steps: vendors will be paid according to the approved warrants and county finance staff will continue routine accounting and reconciliations. No amendments to the amounts were made during the meeting.
