Commissioners also emphasized avoiding overlapping large projects (for example, not building multiple major intersections in the same year) so traffic impacts and right‑of‑way acquisitions do not pile up.
"If you want to marry up the trail project with the street project?" a commissioner asked; staff and commissioners agreed that linking projects would improve sequencing and cost efficiency. The commission asked staff to provide property‑owner lists and to return with a reconciled spreadsheet for the Feb. 10 financial review.
