Residents ask for aquatic and recreation centers, trails and sports fields in wish-list survey

"Altogether, I think it was around 200 or 300 mentions in that area," Hamzler said of recreation and amenity write-ins. Councilmembers suggested combining an aquatic center and rec center at a single site to reduce land-acquisition and design costs and discussed where such a facility might fit within capital-improvement planning.
No formal motion or funding decision was made; council asked staff to keep amenity demand in mind when prioritizing future CIP and EDC projects.
