Commissioners approve temporary construction easement with Bodek Holdings LLC

The board approved a temporary construction easement with Bodek Holdings LLC on May 5 to permit county crews or contractors to extend curb radii and adjust driveway grading as part of the Laios Drive reconstruction.
Public Works Director Gene Legurski explained that raising the roadway required additional right-of-way to preserve positive drainage away from the Bodek Electrical parking area and described the easement as temporary and limited to construction needs. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the easement as presented.
Legurski said the easement had been assigned by the property owner and that the temporary access will allow the county to correct drainage impacts created by the road profile change; no financial compensation or long-term transfer of property was referenced during the motion.
Follow-up actions include finalizing the easement document and coordinating with the owner for on-site work.
