Kalkaska County adopts Log Lake fee schedule and accepts village parcel for Log Lake

On Feb. 18 the board approved a new Log Lake fee schedule effective Feb. 19, 2026, and authorized acceptance and transfer of Parcel #800-450-001-00 from the Village of Kalkaska, with transfer costs to be paid by the county; both motions passed 6-0 with one absence.
The Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 18 approved changes to fees for Log Lake and accepted a transfer of property from the Village of Kalkaska.
On a motion by Commissioner Jeff Sieting the board waived referral rules and approved the Log Lake fee schedule as presented, effective Feb. 19, 2026. At the same time, the board accepted Parcel #800-450-001-00 from the Village of Kalkaska (a lot at Log Lake) and authorized the county administrator to complete necessary documents, to include survey and title work, with all transfer costs to be paid by the county.
Both motions passed on roll call 6-0 with Commissioner Robert Baldwin absent. The county did not provide detailed line-item fee amounts in the minutes; the board designated the administrator and chair to execute documents and implement the fee schedule.
