Personnel Committee Chair Scott Matley opened the Feb. 12 meeting and the committee moved to approve a resolution allowing the Kaliseum to fill a part‑time front desk vacancy. Commissioner Robert Baldwin moved to approve Resolution 2026-13, which was supported by Commissioner David Comai and adopted by consensus, with no opposition recorded.
County Administrator/CFO Patrick Whiteford had framed the item as part of a broader review of Kaliseum and Parks & Recreation services and said that a mission statement and plan updates were needed before staff fill new roles. The committee’s recorded action (Resolution 2026-13) enables the Kaliseum Director to proceed with hiring for the front desk position under county hiring procedures.
