Commissioners approve at‑will treatment‑court case‑manager contract funded through Wyoming Supreme Court program

The commission on Feb. 17 approved an at‑will employment contract to add a case manager for the county treatment court.
HR Director Gary McClain described the role as providing monitoring and accountability for participants in the county’s treatment‑court program and said the position is funded through the Wyoming Supreme Court's administration of the program for the current year; previously the program was managed by the Department of Health. McClain said the county submits costs under the state agreement and expects reimbursement so the net cost to the county should be zero for the fiscal year. He also said the county applied for a larger participant allotment in the next biennium.
Commissioners moved and seconded the contract approval and voted unanimously to authorize the chair to sign.
