The board unanimously adopted a military leave policy presented by human resources to provide consistent guidance and comply with federal law. Separately, a proposed personal-property policy generated 61 remonstrances from residents; after hearing department-head concerns and a request for clearer language, the board voted to return that proposal to the general government committee for further work.
