Public works reports storm cleanup and wastewater updates; Pleasant Grove pump station energized date set

Public works staff provided the board with the department's July operations report, describing storm response, equipment maintenance and upcoming projects.
The report said crews handled a high volume of downed trees and road blockages after heavy storms and that contractors were engaged for a few remaining removals. On building maintenance, staff said, "On the buildings, we've had, issues with the air conditioning. This building, mainly for the office side. There's 2 other ones, the office side. And we had a maintenance contractor out... there's 2 parts that need to be replaced on, and that will be done within the next 2 weeks." Staff also reported the Pleasant Grove pump station construction is largely complete but awaiting electrical service to be energized on Aug. 22 to commence operations.
The department noted continued roadside mowing, sight-distance trimming around hydrants and guide rails, and that several road and park punch-list items are being addressed with contractors; staff said final paperwork for the mansion parking-lot project is in hand and road projects will proceed as engineering communications permit.
