CBRE outlines six‑state marketing push for Wright County Agribusiness Park

Mike McCree of CBRE presented the county’s agribusiness‑park marketing plan and said the park is now listed on national commercial real‑estate sites and targeted directly to likely prospects.
"We have about 75 tier 1 and tier 2 companies that we've identified that would be good to reasonable fits for this park," McCree said, describing listings on CREXI, CoStar, LoopNet and direct outreach to plant managers and executives. He said CBRE is targeting supply‑chain fits — pork, grain, seed and animal health — and working with the Iowa Economic Development Authority to ensure the site appears in state site‑selector searches.
McCree outlined his direct‑marketing tiers and said a research team is compiling contact details for local plant managers and C‑suite decision‑makers to support individualized outreach. He also said CBRE is conducting a regional search covering a six‑state radius to find appropriately scaled prospects and that multiple state listings may be required to make the site visible in the state system.
The consultant told the board he is coordinating with county economic development staff and local companies already in Wright County to surface subsidiary and supplier opportunities. "That helps us with the employment as well because now you have a place for the employees to live that's close to where they work," he said, adding that he and staff are also identifying infill residential lots to support workforce housing.
Supervisors welcomed the monthly update and asked to receive McCree’s slides and a short video for distribution. The board requested continued monthly reports and thanked staff for facilitating the presentation. The consultant said he would send the presentation materials to county staff.
