Staff asked the commission to authorize the city manager to sign a ProHousing grant award coordinated by the Montana League of Cities and Towns to help jurisdictions bring zoning and subdivision regulations into compliance with new state requirements. City Manager Howell Silva described the grant as intended to fund zoning and subdivision regulation updates and map revisions; she read the packet figure as "156,000, $508" as the amount the city would utilize from the program to complete those updates.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved a motion authorizing the city manager to sign the agreement. Staff said the consultants would use public-survey data and other community input to carry out code and map updates; the city will return to the commission with draft ordinance language and mapping for formal adoption.
