The Traill County Water Resource District recorded several contracts and work orders for drain repairs and related work across multiple townships.
KRB Gravel, LTD was contracted to repair a washout in the NW 1/4 of section 26 in Bloomfield Township at the Elm River and to repair erosion at the outlet of Miller Drain No. 29 into the Goose River. Chad’s Excavating, Inc. was contracted for erosion repair and a cleanout on Roseville Drain No. 19 from Bridge No. 375 to the SE 1/4 of section 27, and for repairs under culverts between sections 3 and 4 (Bridge No. 277) in Blanchard Township. Civil Specialties, Inc. was contracted to remove trees along Garfield Drain No. 32 and on Holman Drain No. 43. C&C Excavating, LLC will install three culverts on Kaufman Drain No. 22; the chairman is to obtain the county highway permit for that work.
Moore Engineering has a preliminary design for Brokke Drain No. 30 in Sections 11 and 12 that would include culvert improvements to meet North Dakota Stream Crossing Standards; the board discussed financing options for that work. Several items will be performed by the Traill County Highway Department, including placement of Bridge No. 304 at Murray Drain No. 17 and erosion repairs at Bridge No. 209 (Morgan Drain No. 36).
