Traill County WRD approves preliminary 2027 budget, routine business

The Traill County Water Resource District unanimously approved a preliminary 2027 budget at its July 21 meeting in Hillsboro. Manager Joel Halvorson moved to approve the preliminary 2027 budget as presented; Manager Gary Thompson seconded the motion and, upon roll call, the motion carried unanimously.
The board also completed routine procedural business at the meeting. Manager Neset moved to approve the minutes of the July 7 meeting and Manager Neset moved to approve payment of bills and electronic fund transfers as shown in the check detail report; both motions were seconded and carried unanimously. Manager Thompson moved to approve pledged assets from Dakota Heritage Bank, First State Bank of Buxton, and Goose River Bank; Manager Halvorson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board adjourned at 9:28 a.m. after completing the published agenda. No votes were recorded as split; the minutes note each motion "carried unanimously."
