Commission approves county acceptance of donated mass-casualty trailer

Michelle Young spoke to the commission and asked approval to accept a donated mass-casualty incident trailer (located at 545 West Humboldt Street) and all supplies inside, a donation from the Department of Health and Human Services. Young said the trailer has been maintained and that she preferred the county to approve its primary use for mass-casualty response while retaining flexibility for other emergency needs.
Commissioner (speaker 4) disclosed an organizational affiliation and said the commission should take ownership; he moved to accept the trailer with approval for mass-casualty use and emergency flexibility. Alicia (speaker 3) seconded the motion and the commission voted to accept the donation. Staff said the trailer includes up-to-date equipment and will be available for county-directed emergency uses.
