Comanche County adds road to ODOT system and approves Windstream utility permit

The Board of Comanche County Commissioners approved an ODOT County Road Action Report on April 20 to add approximately one mile of county road in District 1 to Oklahoma Department of Transportation's county road system. The addition runs from EW166 south on NS266 for roughly 0.5 miles, then about 0.25 miles further south to complete the mile, making that roadway eligible for inclusion in the county's certified road mileage.
Separately, the board approved a county utility permit filed by Jeremy Smiddie, authorized agent for Windstream/Uniti, to blow fiber into existing duct and place new hand hole/boxes as near the fence line as possible along portions of Spencer Road, NE Trail Road and Bishop Road in District 1 (details and crossings referenced to an attached Exhibit A). The board also acknowledged an approved floodplain development permit application presented by Floodplain Manager Alana Pack. No contested public comment or additional conditions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
